The partnership Meddition – Lemon Companies has been selected through a public tender procedure to develop a tailor-made communication and follow-up mobile application for the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of UZ Brussels (CRG).
The Centre for Reproductive Medicine (CRG) is the fertility clinic of UZ Brussel, the university hospital of the Free University of Brussels (VUB). This world-renowned fertility center has a long-standing history as pioneers in the development of ART*-techniques and their application. Since the CRG’s creation in 1983, more than 23,000 babies have been born following fertility treatment of the parents. *ART: Assisted Reproductive Treatments, the general term for the different fertility treatments: artificial insemination, IVF, IVF-ICSI, IVM, etc.
The CRG considers the information exchange with patients crucial to the success of its treatments. Therefore, anyone who is treated at the center receives information through many different channels:
- In consultation with the doctor;
- During the counsellor talk before the start of treatment;
- Via its website;
- Via the EPR’s patient portal;
- Via printed brochures, informative forms, instruction forms, treatment schedules and contracts (informed consents).
The partnership Meddition – Lemon companies was selected to develop an additional communication channel: a mobile application enabling a reliable digital information exchange and close follow-up of the patients from home.
At the core of the project is the balance between a more efficient way of using modern communication tools, without compromising the personal and close-contact guidance that is so characteristic for the center.
Given their experience in patient guidance applications, Meddition and Lemon Companies are the perfect partner to successfully accomplish this task.
